Educate

Education is power. Quality education exists, but it is not being delivered to women where, and when they need it the most. I provide proactive, preventative education to my clients so they are able to have honest, open conversations with their providers and make informed decisions that are aligned with their personal values.

empower

Stigma is the number one barrier to self-disclosure and seeking help. My practice aims to reduce stigma by empowering women to advocate for their needs by building self-confidence and self-efficacy through the mastery of new skills they acquire when taking on the new role of becoming a mother.

transition

Becoming a mother is one of the biggest transitions a woman can make in her lifetime. My services help to successfully bridge a transition that allows them to thrive through pregnancy, birth and the first year of their child’s life by feeling supported, heard, and understood, as well as equipped with the knowledge and tools they need to succeed.

Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders are the number one complication of childbirth, effecting 1 out of every 7 pregnant and postpartum women.

Despite the prevalence, only 8.6% of women with antenatal depression and 6.3%of women with postpartum depression receive adequate treatment (Cox et al, 2016).
